The UK Practical Driving Test is changing!

There will be two important changes to the driving test in October 2010:

* independent driving,
* a reduction in the number of reversing manoeuvres

From 4th October 2010, driving test candidates will be expected to drive independently for around 10 minutes, either following a series of directions, following traffic signs, or a combination of both.

The length of the driving test will not be extended, so in order to allow time for the independent driving candidates will only be required to perform one reversing manoeuvre instead of two.
